    Use this vessel to fire metal clay pieces that require carbon.  No more mess in your kiln and they last virtually forever.    

    To prevent damage allow the kiln to cool below 900°F before opening the door.  When below 900°F open the kiln approximately 1" and leave until the temperature falls below 600°F.  It is now safe to remove the vessel (with metal tongs to prevent injury) and allow to cool completely.
