These containers tend to fire hotter than stainless steel. Make test pieces out of clay and fire according to schedule. If there is blistering, bubbles or warping, decrease the temperature by 15-20 degrees and fire more test pieces. Repeat until pieces are properly sintered.

For your safety, it is best to let the vessel cool completely in the kiln. If you chose to remove while hot use caution and follow safety measures for handling extremely hot material. To prevent damage to the vessel, allow the kiln to cool to 900°F before opening the door. Open the kiln approximately 1" and wait until the temperature is below 600°F. Carefully, while using gloves or metal tongs, remove the vessel and place on a heat proof surface. Allow to cool completely before removing pieces.
