Liver of sulfur creates wonderful colors on metal clay pieces.  Colors range from gold to green, blue, purple and black.  The coloring depends upon the temperature of the water, concentration of solution and the amount of time the piece is left in the solution.  Make sure to store liver of sulfur in an airtight container in a dark, dry location.  If left open to the elements it will break down and become less effective.
